Would you like to live this experience? Then go with us. Every Saturday, from June 27 to september 5, The MCT Tourist Service organizes transfers from Catania to Agrigento Central railway station.
There, you will find an historic tourist train that runs through the ancient monuments of Valle dei Templi in Agrigento, and stops in Porto Empedocle.
A real trip to discover the most beautiful Sicily has to offer: nature, the Greek temples, the scent of the Garden of Kolymbetra.
The program, in detail is:
Start from Catania to Agrigento Central railway station at 1.00 O’clock p.m.
scheduled at 3.30 p.m.
meeting participants at 4.00 p.m, at the Central Station of Agrigento
Shortly after it is scheduled to leave the historic railcar, stopping at the station of Agrigento Low around 4.30 p.m. At 16.50 p.m. is expected to arrive at the stop of the Temple of Vulcan, in the heart of the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento.
Here, under the guidance of operators of the Italian Environmental Fund, there will be a hike in the beautiful Garden of Kolymbetra, in the heart of the archaeological area.
Around at 6.00 p.m. we will return to the train and leave for Porto Empedocle, the real Vigata Andrea Cammilleri, the father of the Inspector Montalbano. Once at the station travelers will have the chance to taste an aperitif and visit the museum area, or a walk in the beautiful city center or near the port.
At 7.30 pm is scheduled to leave from Porto Empedocle C.le, while the return to the station of Agrigento C.le is planned for about 8.00 p.m., there will be waiting our driver for return.
